Feeling stuck in life? Have a read!

I will be 25 this year (I expect lots of presents) which means I will officially be in my mid 20s. Ten years ago I thought I would be a great businessman, paying off a mortgage, husband to a beautiful lady and father to two beautiful children. Today I am a mentor, living with my mum, no wife and no children. Great.

Where did it all go wrong? Five years ago I just wanted to get through university and have a decent enough job. What happened to my big, bold ideas? Furthermore, where has the time gone!?! I'm sure I am not alone with all these questions, I'm sure there are those before me who have found their answers and I'm sure there are those millennials that just know they will not have any of these questions to face. Well, I cannot speak for others but I can speak for myself and I wish I realised this sooner rather than later but luckily enough I have found my answer...

Who cares! Who cares about where it all went wrong? Who cares about my big, bold ideas? Who cares where the time has gone? Not I! My peers, colleagues and loved ones in their 20s always find themselves questioning things which cannot be controlled. I used to do the same thing, until I realised that it really does not matter about what I used to dream about, that's old news! I am where I am today and this is the best version of myself that I can be. Each second we have in our life spans is an improvement of ourselves. It's about time we start accepting this and aim to focus on what lies ahead.

The past can be a dangerous time if we find ourselves stuck in that realm. A good tip to free ourselves is to get rid of constant reminders of the past. Do not become a hoarder, be a revolutionist. Forget about yesterday, be happy with today and if there is anything you can take from the self you were 10 years ago, it is to dream big and bold about your future.

It is never too late to achieve your goals, don't set a time limit to your life, there is no deadline within your life span to be who you want to be and do what you want to do.

Embrace life. Love life. Live life.
